Rumaki Then and now, this is, like, the ultimate cocktail party cocktail....
Cut livers in half; quarter any extra-large livers. Combine sherry, soy sauce, brown sugar, oil garlic powder, ginger and waater, and pour over livers. Marinate the livers and water chestnuts for 4-24 hours in the refrigerator, turning occasionally. Drain livers. Wrap 1 piece of liver and 1 piece of water chestnut with a piece of bacon, and secure with a wooden toothpick. Place rumaki on a lightly greased broiler pan and broil about 10 minutes (or until livers are no longer pink), turning frequently. |
